| " Was gibt es Neues?“
[Heinz Conrads (1913 – 1986), österreichischer Confèrencier] Theatergespielt wurde in Berg im Drautal nachweislich schon vor 150 Jahren, was zu den wenigen Lustbarkeiten der damaligen Zeit zählte. Dem Verdienst von Idealisten ist es zu verdanken, dass die Theatertradition in Berg im Drautal seit jeher einen hohen Stellenwert besitzt.
Die beiden Aushängeschilder Berger Schauspielkunst sind die beiden Stücke: Der „Berger Jedermann“ (Originalfassung im Oberen Drautal um ca. 1850 entstanden) und das „Berger Hirtenspiel“ (Berger Originaldokument aus 1868 vorhanden). Um die Pflege dieser beiden Kleinode ist die Berger Theatergruppe besonders bemüht. Die Aufführungen finden alle 10 Jahre auf einer Freilichtbühne statt. "What is the News?" [Heinz Conrads (1913 – 1986), Austrian showmaster] Theatre performances have a long tradition in Berg. They go back more than 150 years being among the few diversions at that time. Thanks to idealists ever since theatre tradition has had high significance in Berg. The most famous pieces of dramatic art in Berg are the two plays "Berger Jedermann" (original draft created in the Drautal Valley around 1850) and the "Berger pastoral play" (original documents dating back to 1868 still exist). The Berger theatre group has made a strong effort to look well after these two treasures.
