Quality pays off - The ‘Golden M’

Do you want furniture that meets multiple requirements at the same time?

- Health

- Quality

- Sturdiness and longevity

- Environmental protection

Rigorous testing and continuous inspections ensure that PELIPAL furniture receives the RAL quality mark and complies with our very high standards. With the RAL quality mark for furniture, you can be assured that you are buying tested furniture with reliably high quality. Quality-tested furniture needs to be sturdy, safe, durable and well made – and must not contain any pathogenic components. After all it’s important you feel well with quality-tested furniture.

Deutsche Gütegemeinschaft Möbel e.V

Deutsche Gütegemeinschaft Möbel (DGM) was formed in 1963. Over 100 members – furniture manufacturers and suppliers from Germany and abroad – have voluntarily committed to comply with the DGM requirements of the RAL quality system. These requirements not only pertain to durability and proper functionality, but also include consumer safety, health, and the environmental impact of production. Each individual factor is thoroughly tested in independent testing institutes.

For furniture manufacturers, complying with these high requirements involves significantly greater effort. But it is a sensible and important investment in your life.

General instructions for daily use

To ensure a long life for your bathroom furniture, washstand, mirror or mirror cupboard, please note the following information for daily use:

1. Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation and drying in the bathroom, especially after taking a bath or shower. If walls are continuously damp, there is a risk of mould, mildew and property damage.

2. Avoid long-lasting exposure to water. Standing and overflowing water on the surface of the bathroom furniture and the washbasin must be removed immediately.

3. If the bathroom furniture connects directly to the bath or shower area, a shower enclosure must be installed.

4th Protect the premium high-quality furniture and mineral cast surfaces, as well as mirror and glass surfaces, from extreme light exposure as well as from heavy, sharp-edged, abrasive and hot, corrosive and acidic objects. The result would be unsightly discolouration, pressure marks, scum or scratches. Slight colour variations over time are unavoidable in all materials.

5. Used towels must not be hung from the furniture doors, due to the moisture and weight.

6. Remove any staining as soon as possible with a soft, damp cloth and lukewarm water. Often, no detergents are required. Then rub dry.

7. Spilled aggressive substances must be removed immediately. Do not allow to penetrate!

8. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents containing alcohol or scouring agent, or microfibre cloths (except Krion washbasins!)

9. Do not store open WC and drain cleaners, nail polish remover etc. in the furniture or the mirror cabinet.

10. The water temperature on the mineral cast surface must not exceed 65° C.

Cleaning and maintenance - Instructions and tips

We recommend using a clean, soft, damp cloth to gently clean wooden fronts, plastic front panels and varnished front panels as well as bodies. Particularly stubborn stains can be removed with warm soapy water without leaving any residue. Then polish the surfaces dry. Stains should generally be removed immediately. As a general rule, cleaning products containing alcoholic substances should not be used on acrylic front panels.

Cleaning the mirror and glass surfaces
We recommend using a clean, soft, dry cloth to clean mirrors and glass surfaces. Stubborn stains, such as grease, cosmetics residue, etc., should be removed immediately and then wiped with soapy water and a chamois leather. Please ensure no drip residues remain on the edges and behind the mirror. Glass cleaners are not suitable for cleaning mirrors!

Care instructions for mineral marble washbasins
A clean, soft, damp cloth (not a microfibre cloth!) is all that is needed for cleaning. For heavy soiling, please use a mild liquid cleaner (without alcohol and scouring), e.g. vinegar-based cleaner and warm water. Please ensure the water temperature does not exceed 65°C. Spilled substances should be removed immediately. Problem stains can be removed with nail polish remover. To maintain the gloss of the mineral cast surface, we recommend applying high-quality car polish from time to time and repolishing, e.g. SONAX Xtreme Polish & Wax. Do not use drain cleaner with sodium hydroxide.

Temperature stress
The quality-inspected mineral marble washbasin has been tested in endurance tests (water temperature thermal shock from 10°C to 65°C) and meets the requirements of DIN 14688. You should not let water over 65°C flow into the basin for extended periods.

Hair dyes/washing laundry:
Be careful when using hair dyes. Some agents are so aggressive that traces cannot be removed. Doing laundry in the basin is not recommended, as the colours from the clothing may settle and permanently damage the basin. This may also lead to scratches caused by buttons and zips.

Important!
The mineral marble washbasin must be mounted on a washbasin base cupboard. Irregularities in the lower, inconspicuous area (after assembly is completed) is due to the nature of production and the material itself and does not justify a complaint.

Damages
Improper use of abrasive cleaners, exposure to sharp, scratching or abrasive objects, or prolonged exposure to dyes may damage the surface (gel coat). These scratches or dye marks can be corrected in a manner similar to car maintenance. This means that these marks can easily be removed using a conventional polish (M 100) and polishing wool. In the event of substantial damage, the area should first be prepared with a wet abrasive (from course to fine!) Cigarettes left on the washbasin for prolonged periods can yellow the gel coat. This yellowing is superficial and can also be removed using the same technique.

Care instructions for glass washbasins:
Since our glass washbasins have smooth surfaces, they are very easy to clean. For everyday care, simply wipe with a damp cloth and appropriate glass cleaners. Then wipe with a dry, lint-free cloth. Never clean the washbasin with an abrasive cleaning agent or with the abrasive side of sponges, as this will damage the surface. Glass is sensitive to high thermal stress, so never place frozen drinks or hot dishes and pots on it. The resulting material stress may cause the glass to break.

Care instructions for ceramic washbasins
To remove lime we recommend using an acidic cleaner (pH 1-4), for example, vinegar-based cleaner. Acetic acid not only removes limescale, it is also easily biodegradable. The harder the water, the more cleaning agent should be used. We recommend using a detergent-based cleaner to stains caused by grease. Mould stains can be removed with chlorine-based, alkaline bathroom cleaners. Please be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Care instructions for Krion washbasins
The semi-gloss surface of the Krion washbasin is easy to clean. Use circular motions for optimal results and spread detergents e.g. scouring agents (e.g. Viss, Vif) over the entire area. To keep the surface smooth it should be cleaned every day using a damp cloth. For daily cleaning, use a damp cloth and a soft detergent on any spots. Wipe down with a damp cloth and dry the surface with a towel. For stubborn stains and dirt, apply a soft cleanser with micro particles (e.g. Viss, Biff) with a damp sponge (e.g. a Scotch Brite) and rub in using circular motions. Repeat the process and finally clean the surface next to the stains for a uniform, smooth result. Wipe down with a damp cloth and dry the surface with a towel.
